Mamulbak in the News: Celebrating Barunga Glory

We are incredibly proud to share that our community's journey has been featured on the national stage.

Following more than four months of flood displacement and evacuation away from Country, the Daly River Buffaloes Women’s Football Club brought home a massive win over the King's Birthday long weekend, claiming the 2026 Barunga Festival Women’s AFL premiership.

This achievement was a massive team effort, driven directly by Ingrid and our local women's leaders who worked tirelessly to coordinate, plan, and pull this campaign together during an incredibly challenging time. More than just a trophy, this win brought a much-needed wave of positive energy and pride back to Mob.
